A charming study based on a detail from the Crusader’s Bible, (aka; Maciejowski Bible, the Morgan Bible) from 13th Century France. The extant medieval manuscript miniatures famously depict detailed battle scenes with Knights fighting in armor with a variety of weapons, including Archers like the one pictured.
